Released two weeks ago to glowing reviews, the Vidya Balan-starrer Kahaani is still going steady across the country. As is wont, the Bollywood film is spawning some remakes as well. The buzz is that Kahaani will soon be remade in Tamil and if our sources are to be believed, Sneha is the chosen one to reprise Vidya Balan�s critically-acclaimed role.
A little birdie says Sneha has been approached for the role and she has given her nod for the project. If all goes well, the actor who is tying the knot with beau Prasanna on May 11, will begin shooting post-wedding. The news also spreads cheer among the actress�s fans who were under the impression that she would bid goodbye to the tinselworld ever since she announced her decision to lead a marital life.
Industry sources say Sneha will be the perfect choice to play Vidya Balan�s role, given her solid performance in many movies.
Sneha has a number of projects lined up, including Vidiyal with Sharath Kumar directed by Selvaraj and a cameo appearance in Oru Kaal Oru Kannadi, the debut film of Udayanidhi Stalin. Kahaani, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, is a woman-centric film that revolves around a pregnant NRI woman�s relentless search for her missing husband in Kolkata. Meanwhile, reports say Kahaani is doing brisk business in TN and Kerala.
According to reports, the Hindi film has grossed Rs 92 lakh in 10 days from 23 limited screens. The actress� marriage will be held at Srivaru Venkatachalapathy Palace in Chennai, which has been converted into a marriage hall. Sneha and Prasanna fell in love while shooting for Achchamundu Achchamundu.
